About this piece:
I started designing “Bitcoin Bear” before I had even conceived of the cryptoswatch project. It was in direct response to Beeple’s “Bull Run.” At the time, I didn’t know anything about his artistic process. I was simply curious if I could pull off some of the same visual techniques with my skill set.
Using several assets from pixabay.com and leveraging Adobe Photoshop, I had fun playing with a tool that was new to me: the warp tool. It was also fun exploring perspective adjustments, shadow creation, advanced masking techniques, and light and shadow.
When I mostly finished working on this piece, it sat in a folder in My Documents collecting digital dust for over a year. Now that we are decidely in a bear market, it felt appropriate to put the final touches on it and mint it as a crypto swatch.
While perhaps not conceptually the most original piece, I hope you enjoy what I’ve put together.
