Hello & thank you for this opportunity. I go by Burning Beard, but my online friends call me BEARD. Lately, I’ve been having to answer to Wax Balls.
I am a father to 3 kids, ages 5, 10 & 15. We like in Halifax Canada. I do the NFT gig as a hobby but I pour myself into it. I have always been that way with everything. I am a 41 year old combat veteran. I actually use the NFT/JPEG creation as a sort of therapy for my diagnosed PTSD. Likely why a lot of my style is a little warped, in your face, & of course Gross!
Can you tell us about your process?
I’ve been at this now for the better part of a year with no end in sight. Inspiration for the piece comes from 1 place. When I get a general outline of what needs to be done I usually have an image pop in my head. Never fails. I also want some more female characters in the collection.
My method of creation involves two major factors:
Who are your artistic influences?
As far as influences go I literally have none. There are other collections I like and collect, but I try to stay unplugged from all other art while I create. I look to other collections in my “downtime” for some new ideas to warp and make my own but typically it’s all done in house.
What got you interested in NFTs/Crypto Art/Digital Collectibles?
I learned about NFTs when I was investing in Penny stocks. So I went from the wild west to the wild west in outer space with a bunch of Punks and degens. Apes & Doodles & now Wax Balls!
