Common Duck Butts
Each @TiDBYTS Collaboration Pack features eight “Duck Butt Crypto Swatches.” This collaboration features six common rarity swatches, that we are calling “Common Duck Butts.” These can be blended to create “Rare Duck Butts.” For example: a red and an orange “Common Duck Butt” make the tagged, red/orange gradient “Rare Duck Butt.”

Only 10 “Ultra Rare Duck Butt Super Blends” will be minted. To obtain one of these, blend a “Rare Duck Butt Blend” with each of the six colored “Common Duck Butts.” The Ultra Rare Duck Butt Super Blend is the holy grail of this pack.

Please introduce yourself to our readers. What would you like them to know about you?
My son and I make up the TiDBYTS team, we initially got into drawing together and then NFTs as a way to bond and stay creative during COVID. I do the art and social, he comes up with the great ideas (Duck Butts was his idea!) and contributes to some of the drawing, too. We’re based out of Pittsburgh. I’m a doctor by day, NFTs also became a way for me to deal with the stress of hospital life this past year.
What was the inspiration for this piece?
This piece was inspired by our new Duck Butt Collective collection, and also a reflection of everything we’ve kept inside during COVID (literally being isolated inside the house!). So we stuffed the Duck with everything that’s been on our minds lately, kind of like a narrative turducken…
How long have you been creating in the digital realm?
We’ve been making NFTs since the beginning of this year. I’ve been drawing and making art on the side for a number of years, never formally trained just stuff for fun.
Can you tell us about your workflow (what equipment and software do you use to create)?
All original illustrations and templates are hand drawn with pencil and paper. I then edit/color and compose in Photoshop. Lately we’ve been playing around with Procreate as well, this piece was made using all of the above. But nothing happens without a lot of coffee first.
Who are your artistic influences?
Heavy influences from comic artists like Alex Ross/McFarlane/Miller, Daniel Clowes, Hergé.
What got you interested in NFTs/Crypto Art/Digital Collectibles?
Started out filling up drawing pads, sketching random ideas. Then got into Alien Worlds earlier this year, and saw how easy it was to create on WAX. And then once we got to know some of the other artists in the community, we fell in love with NFTs and digital art. It’s been really quite amazing to watch the community grow, and to see collaborations amongst artists elevate the whole field of NFT art. Our whole goal with the Duck Butts has been to help grow the community, and give back to the community. This is why we’re giving 25% of total sales to charity, and an additional 25% to a new NFT artist fund to help cover costs/listing fees/etc. And doing as many collaborations as we can!
